Volusion E6 is an echography apparatus of the newest generation of General Electric – Kretz. The creators of the 4D technology in the ultrasound scanning present to the doctors all over the world their new invention – ultrasound “smart” systems of a new generation. High-definition imaging, an innovative software and hardware, and platforms from the “E” series have been successfully combined.
Volusion E6 insures a more broad examination, with a detailed monitoring of the pregnancy, as well as an early stage diagnosis. The 4D imaging, combined with new technology for detailed observation is very effective even when there are difficulties with scanning through, anomalies of the fetus, a fetal heart, strongly improper structures, as well as 4D interventional procedures.
A team of specialists for the monitoring of the pregnancy, which is available 24 hours, performs 12 to 16 procedures.
Stages of pregnancy tracking with Voluson E6:
First examination
- Determining the pregnancy – bimanual examination, ultrasound examination and immunological test for pregnancy.
Up to 12th gestational week
4D ultrasound examination on every 2 weeks to determine the fetus growth and cardiac activity. This comes highly recommended, because the first 3 months are considered high risk period for the pregnancy.
The first laboratory tests are done when the embryo’s cardio activity is determined. Those include:
- Blood type
- Complete blood count
- Glucose and proteins
- Creatinine (for kidney functions)
- Liver enzymes
- Wasserman and AIDS tests
12th – 13th gestational week
- Full examinations to determine the condition of the cervix, and to prevent complications, which may lead to miscarriage.
- Microbiological tests
- Vaginal Papanikolau smear and colposcopy (anticancer prophylaxis of the cervix)
- Consultation for parental diagnosis, introducing the patient to different methods of diagnosis and the most common types of anomalies of the fetus.
- 4D ultrasound examination for fetal morphology
17th – 18th gestational week
- 4D ultrasound examination for fetal morphology – detailed examination of the fetus and its annexes for early signs of anomalies.
22nd – 24th gestational week
- Cardio examination of the patient (ECG)

- Full range of laboratory tests
27th – 28th gestational week
- 4D ultrasound examination
- Non-stress test
- Doppler
32nd – 33rd gestational week
- 4D ultrasound examination + fetal morphology

- Laboratory tests, containing data for the factors of coagulation
35th – 39th gestational week
- Non-stress test (weekly)
