Neonatological care for the newborns is provided by our neonatology department at “Saint Lazar” Maternity Hospital. Our neonatologists and our team of specialized midwives take care of the youngest from the moment of birth. All the necessary postnatal examinations, genetic tests and blood tests are performed at the neonatology department immediately after birth of the baby, as well as during the hospital stay of the mother and the newborn. The department focuses on complete family health and makes sure to take of the baby with the help of both parents. We consider “Kangaroo care” to be one of the most important aspects of care of the newborn, and we welcome the parents to participate actively during the first days of life of their child.
